My focus:
The cycle of - skin and bone - comprises altogether 12 photographs from the theme - house of glass -. Sensitively interpreted, this series includes the evolution of the human existence, growing, developing and rearing, the fullness of life, the purely aesthetic transience with its symbols of futility and ultimately the discard of the body.
We all need in addition to a - skin of glass - protection and refuge, sunlight, water, air and fertiliser, a mental, spiritual and physical substratum to exist, grow and flourish; culture in the widest sense of the word. The giving of form being a decisive factor in the creative act, so is ultimately the deformation simply a matter of aesthetics and ethics. In the end only the body remains as residue.
These are themes I treat in my photographs, objects and installations.
